I will buy again and it helps reduce oil buildup

The produce is just like the picture. The texture is silky and it foams really quickly. A little goes a long way so I could easily use this daily for a month or more. I use it before bed and noticed my skin was less oily and acne prone. Now my skin feels smoother and I see my skin becoming more evenly moisturized instead of only my t zone being oily.

Squicky Clean

I love this product. It truly cleanses my skin. It's very lightweight and worth the money. It's easy to apply on my face and has great ingredients to help keep my skin clean. Highly recommended.

A Nicely Formulated Foaming Cleanser — But My Sensitive Skin Doesn’t Need It Daily

A Beautifully Formulated Foaming Cleanser — But My Sensitive Skin Doesn’t Need It Daily I’ve had the opportunity to try several products from NUNA, a Korean skincare brand inspired by Jeju Island that focuses heavily on ingredient-driven formulations and the use of volcanic ash, botanical ingredients, and modern skincare actives. I’ve really enjoyed what I’ve tried from the brand so far, although I do think NUNA tends to sit a little higher on the price spectrum compared with many Korean skincare brands. This Volcanic Ash Facial Foam Cleanser is a great example of what makes the brand interesting. The first thing that stands out to me is how much is going on in this formula ingredient-wise. I particularly like seeing amino acids and hyaluronic acid in a foaming cleanser because they help give the formula a little more balance than a cleanser that is solely focused on stripping away oil and impurities. The amino acids can help support skin hydration and comfort, while hyaluronic acid is a well-known humectant that helps attract and retain moisture. Centella asiatica is another nice addition for sensitive or easily irritated skin because of its soothing properties. The volcanic ash and kaolin, meanwhile, are what give this cleanser its more purifying character, helping absorb excess oil and remove impurities. The formula also uses mild coconut-derived surfactants to create that rich, creamy foam. Speaking of the foam, this cleanser lathers beautifully. You really only need a tiny amount (i.e., pea-sized amount), and once you add a little water and work it between your hands, it produces a rich lather. It feels luxurious without needing to use much product, which is especially nice considering the bottle is only about 2.7 ounces. A little goes a surprisingly long way with a foaming cleanser like this. It also has a noticeable fragrance, which I personally really enjoy. I would describe it as having almost a clean, spa-like, sea-salt sort of scent. I can’t quite put my finger on exactly what it smells like, but it’s very pleasant and makes the cleansing experience feel a little more luxurious. Fragrance is obviously very subjective, especially when you have sensitive skin, but I personally don’t mind fragrance in skincare and really enjoy the scent of this one. As for how it performs on my skin, this is where I think it’s important to put my experience into context. I have sensitive combination skin, with an oilier T-zone and drier areas elsewhere, and I tend to be cautious with foaming and “purifying” cleansers because my skin can become over-cleansed pretty easily. This cleanser definitely leaves my skin feeling very clean, but I do notice a tiny bit of tightness and dryness afterward. Because of that, I wouldn’t personally use this as my everyday cleanser. That doesn’t mean I dislike it, quite the opposite actually. Out of the foaming cleansers I’ve tried, this is probably my favorite. I just know that my particular skin doesn’t need this level of cleansing every single day. I also don’t use a facial cleanser in the morning; I generally just rinse with water because that works better for my skin and helps me avoid unnecessarily stripping my skin. I also want to point out that I use this as the second step in a double-cleanse routine, so I can’t speak to how it performs as a true one-and-done cleanser for removing a full day of makeup and sunscreen. I first use an oil-based cleanser to break those products down, then use this as my second cleanse. In that role, it works very well. It leaves my skin feeling genuinely clean, fresh, and thoroughly cleansed, and because such a small amount creates so much foam, I can see this bottle lasting quite a while. Overall, I really like this cleanser and think it’s a particularly interesting option if you enjoy foaming cleansers and want something that combines that deep-clean feeling with ingredients intended to support hydration and skin comfort. For someone with very oily or combination skin who enjoys a more purifying cleanse, I could see this being especially appealing. For my sensitive skin, I simply have to be a little more strategic about when I use it rather than reaching for it every day. NUNA is definitely a Korean skincare brand I’m going to continue keeping an eye on!

my first K-Beauty experience with NUNA

I was recently gifted the @nuna.beautylab Volcanic Ash Facial Foam Cleanser and couldn't wait to add it to my skincare routine. I love how soft and refreshed my skin feels after every cleanse. The rich foam gently removes impurities without leaving my skin feeling stripped, while helping it feel hydrated and clean. Tender cleansing. Luminous beauty.

Gentle face wash that cleans thoroughly without drying out skin

Picked up this facial foam cleanser to use as a daily face wash that can handle dirt and oil without leaving my skin feeling stripped tight. The lather builds up fast into a dense foam with just a small squeeze from the tube. The combination of volcanic ash and kaolin clay does a solid job pulling out excess oil around the nose and forehead, but the formula stays balanced. It rinses off cleanly under warm water without leaving a film behind or making your face feel dry and itchy afterward. The centella and hyaluronic acid seem to keep things calm and hydrated during the wash. It has a subtle, neutral scent that isn't overpowering, making it an easy option for morning and night use.
