Firmness is built, not applied. A nourishing cream powered by ginseng, peptides and botanical extracts. It hydrates, smooths and improves the look of skin — rich enough to work through the night, light enough that nothing sits on the surface. Used nightly, the difference builds rather than arrives.

Creamy and fragrance is mild

This cream is okay. It has a rich, creamy texture but doesn’t feel overly heavy or greasy on my skin. My skin feels soft, smooth, and moisturized after using it, and it gives my skin a nice healthy-looking glow. A little goes a long way, so the jar should last a while. The cream is thick, so if you have sensitive skin or if your skin clogs easily, I would do a patch area first to test it out because it might be too oily for you causing you whiteheads.

Rich Ginseng Cream That Melts Into the Skin

NUNA is a Korean skincare brand that combines traditional Korean ingredients with more modern skincare formulations, and I think this Ginseng Heritage Collagen Cream is a really nice example of that approach. The first thing that stands out is the presentation. This comes in a beautiful glass jar with a modern, almost abstract design and a really elegant color palette. From the moment you open the packaging, the entire product feels very elevated and luxurious. I know packaging isn’t everything when it comes to skincare, but I do think it contributes to the overall experience here. That luxury positioning does come with a higher price tag, though. This is a one-ounce jar and retails for $44, which is definitely more expensive than many of the Korean skincare products I’ve used, particularly when you consider that you can often get a larger quantity for less with other K-beauty brands. I think that’s worth pointing out for anyone considering the purchase. The formulation itself is equally thoughtful, particularly in the way it combines traditional ginseng with ingredients that focus on hydration, barrier support, and overall skin conditioning. At the center of the formula is a dual ginseng complex, combining ginseng root extract with fermented ginseng. Ginseng has long been valued in Korean skincare for its antioxidant and revitalizing properties, and I like that it’s paired here with ingredients such as ceramide NP, squalane, and shea butter, which give the formula a strong moisturizing and barrier-supportive component. Centella asiatica and madecassoside add another nice element, particularly for anyone who appreciates soothing ingredients in a moisturizer. There’s also collagen extract and a blend of peptides, which complement the rest of the formula with more of a focus on maintaining a smooth, supple, youthful-looking complexion. I always like seeing a formulation that approaches those goals from several different angles rather than relying on one hero ingredient. As for the actual cream, this is definitely on the richer side, but I would describe it as being on the lighter side of rich. It has that really nourishing, cushiony texture you expect from a richer moisturizer, but it sinks into my skin beautifully instead of just sitting on top. My skin feels immediately hydrated, soft, and supple after applying it, without being left with that overly heavy or greasy feeling that some richer creams can have. The fragrance is noticeable right away, and you can definitely smell the ginseng. It has that slightly earthy, almost medicinal quality that ginseng naturally has, so if you don’t particularly enjoy the smell of ginseng, this may not be the cream for you. Personally, I actually really enjoy it. The fragrance is fairly prominent, but I find it pleasant, and I think it adds to the overall experience of using the cream. One thing that has genuinely surprised me is how well this works for me during the day. I have sensitive combination skin, with an oilier T-zone, and I live in a very humid environment, so I typically prefer lighter moisturizers during the daytime. Thicker creams can sometimes feel like too much in that kind of climate, and they can also interfere with makeup. I haven’t had either issue with this one. I’ve worn it underneath my makeup and it has played really nicely with it, while still leaving my skin feeling hydrated and comfortable. I’ve also had no irritation or other issues with this cream, which is important for me because my skin can be quite sensitive. So far, my skin has responded really well to it. I can’t speak to some of the longer-term claims around firmer or more youthful-looking skin because I haven’t used it long enough to honestly evaluate those results. What I can say is that my skin feels noticeably softer and more hydrated when I use it, and those are benefits I’ve consistently enjoyed. I think that’s ultimately what has made this cream stand out to me. I’ve used some very expensive skincare products where I finished them thinking, “That was nice,” but never really felt like there was anything particularly special about them. I don’t have that feeling with this cream. I genuinely enjoy the texture, the fragrance, the way it applies, and most importantly, the way my skin feels afterward. It has become one of those products that I actually look forward to using. Overall, I would absolutely consider repurchasing this cream when I finish the jar, which I think says quite a bit about how much I’ve enjoyed it. Of all the NUNA products I’ve tried so far, this has been my favorite, and I’m interested to see whether I feel the same way once I’ve used the entire jar. For now, though, my first impression is extremely positive, and my skin really seems to like this cream.

Pricey but good

This NUNA Ginseng heritage collagen cream is a big on the pricey side but I really enjoy it. My skin looks and feels soft and moisturized. My makeup applies better after using this product the night before. There is not much of a scent to this cream which I appreciate because I am very sensitive to smells. I have very sensitive and acne-prone skin and this cream works very well for me despite being fairly thick. It absorbs into my skin well and doesn't feel greasy. I really like the ingredients, including peptides, centella asiatica, and collagen. It has become an essential piece of my skincare routine!

Beautiful jar, nice texture, but the scent was not for me.

I'm reading the other reviews and maybe should have given this cream more time. I know the wonderful reputation of Korean skincare and was hoping that this would be a great addition to my own skincare collection. However, I just could not get over the scent. Everyone is different, and others like the fragrance. I did not. I agree with others regarding the texture - rich and creamy. I just couldn't get past the scent to use it long enough to determine whether or not I loved it or saw any results.
